Job summary

African Management Institute (AMI) in Cape Town seeks a Learning Design Lead to manage the Learning Design team, ensuring high-quality outputs and scalable learning strategies. The role blends people management with strategic contributions to the learning function.

You will partner with the Head of Learning and cross-functional teams to advance AI-enabled production modalities, maintain LD workflows, and foster a culture of excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in learning design, facilitation, strategy, or related field.
• 3+ years leading a team with people management.
• Experience in management or entrepreneurship learning in Africa.
• Experience with AI-enabled learning tools.
• Undergraduate degree required; Master’s is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Learning Design team and ensure high-quality output.
• Oversee quality assurance, peer review, and standards across LD work.
• Manage LD team capacity, workflows, and documentation.
• Contribute to learning strategy, programme design, and AI-enabled learning models.
