Job summary

Takealot Online Ltd. is seeking a Learning and Development intern in Cape Town Central Office. Join a young, dynamic, high-growth team and contribute to training coordination, records maintenance, and compliance with SA labour laws.

You will gain exposure to HR functions, learning program planning, and notifications to leadership while working in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong data capturing and administration skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of applicable SA labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA).
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements and POPIA.
• Understanding of HR functions: recruitment, training, benefits, labour relations.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Understanding of Learning & Development processes (training coordination, skills development planning, tracking of learning interventions).
• Knowledge of SDA/SDLA and basic SETA/WSP-ATR submission processes.
• Ability to coordinate and schedule training sessions and maintain training records/registers.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or willingness to learn one.
