Job summary

Placements24 in Rustenburg is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to shape the strategy and execution of our digital products. You will mentor designers, define design systems, and own end-to-end user experience from research to high-fidelity prototyping.

You will collaborate with product, engineering and stakeholders to deliver intuitive interfaces for fintech SaaS offerings, ensuring scalability and consistency across web and mobile platforms. Strong leadership and portfolio are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in UX/UI design with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience designing complex digital products, preferably FinTech or SaaS.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design process and impact on user experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design for web and mobile apps with user-centered focus.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and persona development.
• Create wireframes, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Develop and maintain design systems and style guides.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior designers and promote design excellence.
• Present concepts and research to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Advocate for the user and champion best practices in Rustenburg.
