Arup’s Energy Transmission team in South Africa is seeking Electrical Engineers of various levels to join our Johannesburg or Cape Town offices. You will work on EHV/HV substations (765kV-132kV) and associated plant, delivering technical design and project management for diverse energy projects.

We require a BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering, with ECSA registration preferred. Proficiency in CDEGS and related tools, plus experience in technical leadership, will support our global

Qualifications

BSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering; professional registration with ECSA preferred.
Experience in design and delivery of EHV and HV substations (765kV-132kV) primary/secondary plant.
Client/project management with responsibility as technical lead on tasks.
Hands-on knowledge of substation design software such as CDEGS and other tools.
Ability to conduct lightning protection studies.

Responsibilities

Deliver technical design and project management within the Energy Transmission team.
Work collaboratively in a team and on individual projects.
Lead tasks as a technical authority on substations and related infrastructure.
Provide specialist advice to clients and stakeholders.
