Job summary
Blue Pearl PTY in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer – Automation to design, develop, and execute automated testing across API, performance and functional areas. You will lead testing efforts in an Agile environment, ensuring cloud-native applications meet quality standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience designing and executing automated tests for web and API services.
- Proficient in performance testing and test automation engineering.
- ISTQB or similar certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and API services.
- Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Design API testing strategies for RESTful/microservices architectures.
- Develop automated API tests and validate security, performance and integration.
- Plan, implement, and run performance, load, and scalability tests with JMeter.
- Analyze performance data and report findings with actionable improvements.
- Lead testing teams through the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
