Job summary

Imunify Reliability Platform is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to define healthy operations across roughly 70 components, including cloud services and customer-hosted agents. You will establish SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and a ground-up telemetry platform in a remote-first setting.

This greenfield leadership role focuses on measurable reliability improvements, blameless incident management, and cross-team collaboration across multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Substantial production SRE experience with defined SLO frameworks.
• Strong Python skills; read/modify Go or Rust for instrumentation.
• Experience with Prometheus/OpenMetrics, Grafana, Alertmanager, and high-cardinality data stores.
• Debugging distributed systems beyond Kubernetes-centric view.
• Practical CI/CD tooling (Ansible, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Telemetry for non-scrapable, privacy-conscious customer-managed infra.

Responsibilities

• Define meaningful SLIs for ~70 components across cloud and on-premise envs.
• Build a reliability taxonomy covering availability, latency, and telemetry health.
• Design telemetry collection for customer-hosted agents and cloud services.
• Extend instrumentation across Python, Go, and Rust components.
• Consolidate dashboards and retire non-value tooling.
• Establish alerting with clear ownership, runbooks, and escalation.
