Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Services to drive the design, development, and deployment of scalable cloud-based applications in Sandton. You will lead a team of engineers, set technical strategy, and ensure delivery of complex cloud solutions aligned with business goals.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in software engineering with cloud expertise, deep knowledge of microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong cloud focus.
• Proven experience designing and managing large-scale cloud applications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong expertise in microservices, containers, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or C#.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
