Placements24 is seeking a Lead Security Architect to design, develop, and implement secure cloud architectures for AWS, Azure, and GCP. This fully remote role requires guiding security engineers and aligning security with business goals.

You will mentor the team, define security standards, and stay ahead of emerging threats while collaborating with global engineering, operations, and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in information security with at least 4 years in security architecture.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Strong knowledge of network security, IAM, data security and cryptography.
• Experience with security automation, IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS.
• Certified CISSP, CCSP or cloud security certs desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, global team.

You will provide technical leadership and strategic direction for all aspects of information security architecture, ensuring that security is deeply embedded into the design and operation of our systems. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 4 years focused on security architecture.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing secure solutions in major cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• In-depth knowledge of network security, identity and access management, data security, and cryptography.
• Experience with security automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications are highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, global team setting.
