Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical leadership in the specification, design, and application of rotating equipment for diverse projects.
• Conduct in-depth performance analysis, vibration analysis, and failure investigations for pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery.
• Develop and review technical specifications, data sheets, and bid evaluations for rotating equipment procurement.
• Collaborate with project engineers, vendors, and clients to ensure equipment selection meets project requirements and international standards.
• Oversee the commissioning and start-up support of rotating equipment, often remotely with site personnel.
• Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance strategies for critical rotating assets.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff in the field of rotating equipment.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory changes affecting rotating machinery.
• Participate in HAZOP studies and risk assessments related to rotating equipment.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, recommendations, and presentations for management and clients.
• Manage relationships with key equipment manufacturers and service providers, fostering strong partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and industry codes (e.g., API, ASME).

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of specialized experience in rotating equipment engineering.
• Extensive knowledge of centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, compressors, steam and gas turbines.
• Proficiency in rotordynamics, vibration analysis, and machinery diagnostics.
• Experience with relevant software packages for machinery analysis (e.g., ANSYS, Bently Nevada, ADRE).
• Strong understanding of materials, metallurgy, and manufacturing processes for rotating components.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and projects, preferably in a remote setting.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound technical judgments.
• Experience with international codes and standards (e.g., API 610, API 617, ASME).
• Willingness to travel occasionally if required for critical project phases.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced, and collaborative remote work environment.
