Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a Commercial Retail Architect to design engaging retail environments from concept to construction documentation. This remote role supports clients across the country, focusing on brand experience, customer flow, and commercial viability.

You will lead design development, create drawings with Revit and AutoCAD, manage project timelines and budgets, and collaborate with engineers and interior designers to deliver integrated retail projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of architectural experience in commercial retail.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; 3D visualization a plus.
• Strong knowledge of retail operations and customer experience.
• Ability to manage client relationships and deliver on objectives.
• Excellent conceptual design skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organization and time management; able to work remotely.
• Knowledge of SA building codes for commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and functional architectural designs for retail spaces.
• Translate brand identity into physical environments.
• Create architectural drawings with floor plans, elevations, sections, and specs.
