Qualifications

• Professional registration with SACAP as a Professional Architect.
• Minimum of 8 years post-registration experience in retail architecture.
• Proven track record delivering complex retail projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design direction and execution of retail architecture projects, from conceptualization to final handover.
• Manage and mentor a team of retail architects and designers, fostering creativity and technical excellence.
• Collaborate closely with clients, marketing teams, and brand strategists to translate brand identity into physical spaces.
• Develop detailed design documentation, including floor plans, elevations, 3D models, and material specifications.
• Oversee the selection of finishes, fixtures, and fittings appropriate for high-traffic retail environments.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for potential retail locations. Ensure projects adhere to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants throughout the construction phase.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in retail design, customer experience, and visual merchandising.
