Placements24 is actively seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to champion complex software implementation projects from our hub in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will translate business needs into actionable plans and guide diverse teams through delivery.

You will plan, execute, and monitor programs, manage budgets and risks, and drive user adoption of new technology across the organization, collaborating with senior stakeholders for digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Business required.
• Minimum 7 years in project management with software implementation focus.
• Proven track record managing multiple concurrent software projects.
• PM certifications like PMP/PRINCE2/Agile/Scrum Master desirable.
• Deep understanding of SDLC and PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Experience with ERP or CRM implementations is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals and resource availability.
• Lead, mentor, and manage project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
• Oversee the day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including tracking progress, managing resources, and resolving issues.
• Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve agreed outputs.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on software implementation and IT projects.
• Proven experience managing multiple concurrent software projects and teams.
• Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum Master is highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or customer relationship management (CRM) implementations is a significant advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the local business landscape in Gauteng .
