Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Project Architect for a renowned architectural practice in Centurion, Gauteng. This hybrid role leads mixed-use developments from inception to completion, guiding design and technical execution.

You will manage timelines, budgets and multidisciplinary coordination, ensuring high-quality documentation and client satisfaction while mentoring junior staff and engaging with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• SACAP registration is required.
• Minimum 6 years of post-graduate experience in mixed-use development.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development process for mixed-use architectural projects.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources effectively.
• Coordinate with engineers, urban planners, interior designers and other consultants for integrated design solutions.
• Develop detailed architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Oversee tender process and provide contract administration services.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning laws and sustainability standards.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
• Present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior architects and architectural staff.
• Identify and resolve design and construction challenges.
