Job summary

Serioplast in Gauteng, South Africa, seeks a Production Manager to lead the production team, guarantee continuity and ensure product quality per company standards.

Plan the production program, coordinate with Logistics and Technical Managers, and drive line efficiency while upholding safety and clean, compliant workplaces.

Requirements: Bachelor’s in engineering and 5+ years as a Production Manager in FMCG/auto; strong English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Production Manager in FMCG or Automotive.
• Experience in managing large Production Teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, coordinates and supports the Production team, managing priorities, addressing critical issues and promoting staff development.
• Plans the production program efficiently (reducing the number of color and mold changes) indicating needed resources in coordination with the Logistics Manager and Technical Manager.
• Executes and manages the production program, guaranteeing production line efficiency through ordinary maintenance and ensuring adherence to quality standards and protocols.
• Schedules timing and priority of technical interventions and maintenance of machinery, equipment and utilities in coordination with the Technical Manager.
• Monitors production data with the aim of continuous improvement and optimization.
• Participates in the industrialization of new products or processes.
• Investigates and troubleshoots quality problems.
• Ensures a positive and constructive work environment through effective communication and quick resolution of issues.
• Guarantees and verifies compliance to health, safety and environmental norms; ensures work areas are clean, orderly and safe.
