The ideal candidate has 10+ years in chemical process engineering, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement within KwaZulu-Natal operations. This is an on-site role at the Durban plant.

Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering required.
Over 10 years of hands-on process engineering experience in industrial chemicals.
Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
In-depth knowledge of PSM and HAZOP analysis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Solid understanding of process control systems and automation.

Responsibilities

Lead the engineering team in design, modification and troubleshooting of complex chemical processes.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
Manage projects from conception to completion, including budget and timelines.
