Job summary

3C Metal in Bellville, South Africa, seeks a Piping Supervisor to oversee workshop piping fabrication, ensuring quality, safety and timely delivery. The role requires coordinating isometric drawings, P&IDs, welding procedures, and NDT compliance within high‑pressure environments.

You will lead pipe fitters and welders, manage resources, and maintain documentation/control to support multi‑discipline project teams across marine, mining and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification (Pipe Fitter or Boilermaker) or equivalent certification.
• 5+ years piping fabrication experience, with 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in oil & gas, energy, marine, or high‑pressure piping environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise piping fabrication activities in the workshop, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, procedures, and schedules.
• Coordinate inspections, including dimensional checks, visual inspection, NDT, and ensure material traceability.
• Lead, mentor and manage pipe fitters, welders and related personnel to maintain productivity, workmanship quality and safety.
• Plan and allocate resources efficiently, monitor fabrication progress, and report bottlenecks to project teams.
• Enforce HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture within the piping team.
