Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead our client's compounding and dispensing services in Vereeniging. The role requires clinical excellence, attention to detail, and strong leadership to ensure safe medication preparation and patient care.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy with SAPC registration, 5+ years in pharmacy practice, and proven ability to mentor staff while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy degree and SAPC registration.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmacy practice with compounding and dispensing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of pharmacotherapy and drug interactions.
• Aseptic technique and sterile compounding experience is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform complex compounding of customized medications according to prescriptions.
• Ensure accurate and efficient dispensing, verifying dosage and patient information.
• Maintain quality control for compounded and dispensed medications, including sterile preparations.
• Manage inventory of pharmaceutical supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to patients, physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
