Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the scale-up of laboratory formulations to pilot and commercial manufacturing processes.
• Characterize formulated products using a range of analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, dissolution, particle size analysis).
• Provide scientific leadership and mentorship to a team of formulation scientists in a remote capacity.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including analytical development, process chemistry, and regulatory affairs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, regulatory submissions (e.g., IND, NDA), and scientific publications.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in drug delivery technologies and formulation science.
• Troubleshoot formulation and manufacturing challenges, implementing effective solutions.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Demonstrated expertise in various dosage forms and drug delivery systems.
• Proven experience in leading formulation projects and mentoring scientific staff.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements for drug product development.
• Excellent analytical skills and proficiency with relevant characterization techniques.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
• Experience with statistical software for experimental design and data analysis is advantageous.
