Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Head Personal Trainer & Fitness Manager to lead the fitness department at our Mossel Bay facility. You will manage the personal training team, design innovative programs, drive client satisfaction, and help grow memberships.

The ideal candidate holds a nationally recognized PT certification and has 5+ years in training, including 2 in leadership. You will inspire a results-driven environment and stay current with fitness trends to keep Mossel Bay clients engaged.

Qualifications

• Nationally recognized certification as a Personal Trainer (ACE, NASM, ACSM) is mandatory; advanced certifications are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal training, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven ability to build and maintain a strong client base and achieve sales targets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills, with a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals.
• Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition.
• Experience in program design and group fitness instruction is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of personal trainers, setting performance standards and providing ongoing professional development.
• Develop and implement customized fitness and training programs for individual clients and small groups based on their goals and abilities.
• Manage the fitness floor, ensuring equipment is well-maintained, safe, and accessible, and that the environment is clean and inviting.
• Drive sales of personal training packages and fitness memberships, actively seeking opportunities to engage potential clients and promote services.
• Conduct fitness assessments, provide nutritional guidance, and motivate clients to achieve their health and wellness objectives.
• Stay current with the latest fitness trends, research, and best practices to continually enhance program offerings in Mossel Bay.
