Qualifications

• BSc /BEng in Electrical Engineering (NQF 8) with 480 credits.
• 7 years' plant technical experience.
• ECSA professional engineer registration.
• Knowledge of Eskom/NTCSA policies, processes and procedures.
• Grid Code compliance and high-level technical understanding.

Responsibilities

• Technical management of the Outage function.
• Medium and long term outage plan (prioritisation, risk identification and mitigation).
• Liaising with SOC, NMCs, Generation, Distribution and NTCSA Grids on outage matters.
• Maintain operational documentation.
• Manage NTCSA/Distribution, Metro and Koeberg Operating Agreements.
• Ensure Grid Code compliance.
