Placements24 is seeking an exceptional Lead Nanny and Household Manager for a private residence in Johannesburg. The role oversees daily care and development for two children aged 4 and 7, and manages all household routines with a calm, organized approach.

• Formal qualifications in ECD or related field are highly desirable.
• First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a private household.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning.
• Manage the children's daily schedules including meals, naps, homework, and activities.
• Oversee health and hygiene, medication administration, and liaison with medical professionals.
• Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of children's spaces and common areas.
• Arrange and supervise playdates and outings.

• Manage the children's daily schedules, including meals, naps, homework assistance, and extracurricular activities.
• Oversee the children's health and hygiene, including administering medication as prescribed and liaising with medical professionals.
• Plan and prepare nutritious and balanced meals and snacks for the children.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the children's rooms, play areas, and common living spaces.
• Arrange and supervise playdates and outings.
• Light household duties related to the children, such as children's laundry and tidying common areas.
• Act as a liaison between the family and external service providers (e.g., tutors, therapists).
• Ensure a safe and secure environment at all times.
• Provide regular feedback to the parents on the children's progress and well-being.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Nanny, Childcare Professional, or similar role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Formal qualifications in Early Childhood Development, Child Psychology, or a related field are highly desirable.
• Excellent understanding of child development stages and best practices in childcare.
• Proficiency in household management, including scheduling, organization, and light domestic duties.
