Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead AI initiatives from George, South Africa. You will lead a team, define the technical roadmap, and drive scalable ML solutions end-to-end across pipelines and infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in ML engineering with at least 2 years in a lead role, and strong skills in Python/Java/Scala. Remote work is supported, with opportunities to influence global AI strategy.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in CS/Engineering or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years in ML engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Proficient in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
• Strong understanding of statistics, algorithms, and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end ML pipelines.
• Architect and build scalable ML systems and infrastructure.
• Mentor and guide a team of ML engineers, fostering technical excellence.
• Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Stay abreast of latest ML and AI technologies.
