Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed metallurgical test work and pilot plant trials to evaluate new technologies and process improvements.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues to minimize downtime and maximize throughput.


• Analyze process data using statistical methods to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.


• Develop and manage the metallurgical budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.


• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of metallurgists and technicians, fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in base metals or precious metals processing, including flotation, leaching, and hydrometallurgy.


• Proficiency in metallurgical simulation software (e.g., METSIM, JKSimFloat) and advanced data analysis tools.


• Strong understanding of process control and automation systems in a mining environment.
