Job summary

NGI is seeking a passionate Lecturer in Early Childhood Care and Education to join the academic team. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, facilitating practical learning, and supporting student success with assessments and feedback.

The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and module moderation, while supervising practice placements and engaging with schools and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant teaching/industry background in Early Childhood Care and Education.
• Strong knowledge of higher education teaching, learning and assessment practices.
• Proficiency with learning management systems and educational technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in ECD education.
• Plan and present lectures and develop learning materials.
• Prepare and mark formative and summative assessments.
• Provide academic support and feedback; maintain records.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance, and module moderation.
• Supervise teaching practice or WIL placements where applicable.
• Engage with schools and industry partners to build relationships.
• Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and student recruitment.
