Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Lead Industrial Electrician in Polokwane, Limpopo to oversee electrical operations in a heavy manufacturing setting and lead a team of skilled electricians.

You will troubleshoot AC/DC motors, PLCs, and VSDs, interpret schematics, and drive maintenance and safety initiatives across the plant, while coordinating with engineering and production teams to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as an Electrician (Industrial) is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance and installation.
• Experience troubleshooting AC/DC motors, VSDs, and PLCs.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Proven leadership experience or aptitude to lead a team.
• Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of industrial electricians, ensuring high standards of work and safety.
