Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Lead Frontend Developer to guide UI development in Soweto. You will set technical direction, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality, performant web apps. Collaboration with product, design, and backend teams will be essential to realize innovative product visions.

The role requires strong technical leadership, 6+ years in frontend, and hands-on experience with modern frameworks. A hybrid work model is offered to balance collaboration and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 2 years in lead/senior role.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Experience architecting and building complex frontend applications.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
• Experience with state management libraries and version control (Git).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers.
• Define and implement frontend architecture, standards, and best practices.
• Oversee development of responsive, accessible user interfaces with modern frameworks.
• Collaborate with design and product teams to translate UX requirements into code.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Conduct code reviews and champion continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and advocate adoption.
