Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Front-End Developer in Centurion, Gauteng to architect and deliver scalable web interfaces for a high-traffic e-commerce platform.

You will mentor a team of developers, drive technical decisions, and collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into robust code. A strong emphasis on performance, accessibility, and maintainability is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/engineering.
• 7+ years in front-end development with at least 2 years in lead/senior roles.
• Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
• Strong HTML5/CSS3 knowledge and preprocessors like SASS/LESS.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of front-end developers.
• Architect and maintain responsive, high-performance UIs using modern JS frameworks.
• Collaborate with UI/UX, back-end, and product teams to translate designs into code.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Drive front-end strategy and conduct code reviews.
