Job summary

Helderberg Personnel CC is seeking an experienced environmental consultant to manage EIAs and Water Use Licence processes from inception to completion. You will coordinate with specialists, authorities and clients, and lead public participation and stakeholder engagement activities.

The role requires independent management of EIA/WULA projects, strong knowledge of SA environmental laws, and the ability to deliver high-quality technical reports within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years proven experience independently managing Environmental Impact Assessment and Water Use Licence Application processes.
• Full registration with EAPASA; Candidate EAPs may be considered where full registration is imminent.
• Strong knowledge of South African environmental legislation and regulatory processes.
• Ability to prepare accurate, high-quality technical reports including EIAs, BARs, EMPrs, WULAs.
• Valid South African driver's licence and own reliable vehicle; willingness to travel for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Managing environmental application processes, coordinating with specialists, authorities, and clients.
• Planning and facilitating public participation processes, including stakeholder meetings.
• Managing project planning and execution across multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget.
• Preparing and compiling high-quality environmental reports and regulatory submissions.
• Conducting environmental compliance audits and mitigating risks; building client relationships.
