Lead Digital Transformation Architect (Remote)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the digital transformation strategy for the architectural practice.
• Architect robust and scalable digital solutions, including BIM workflows, data management systems, and collaboration platforms.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in adopting new digital tools and processes.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies such as AI, VR/AR, and generative design.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Architecture, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Architecture, Computational Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in architecture, with at least 7 years focused on digital technology, BIM management, or digital transformation.
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in the AEC industry, with at least 6 years focused on digital technology implementation and strategy.
• Minimum of 10 years of architectural experience, with at least 5 years focused on advanced BIM implementation and management.
• Proven track record in architecting and implementing successful digital strategies within an AECO context.
• Proven experience leading digital transformation initiatives and driving technological change.
• Expertise in BIM methodologies (Revit), data analytics, cloud computing, and enterprise software integration.
• Expertise in advanced BIM software (Revit, Navisworks), computational design tools (e.g., Grasshopper, Dynamo), and scripting languages (e.g., Python).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of data management, AI applications, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
• Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote, distributed team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to drive change and foster innovation in a remote work environment.
• Professional architectural registration with a recognized body such as SACAP.
• Professional registration with SACAP is highly regarded.
