Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps or related IT infrastructure roles.
• 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong cloud and containerization experience (AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure with high availability (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure uptime and reliability.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead their infrastructure and deployment strategies in George . This pivotal role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our client's CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring systems. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization, ensuring seamless integration between development and operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in cloud technologies and a proven ability to lead and mentor a team, driving operational excellence in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS or Azure.
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to ensure optimal uptime and reliability.
• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering best practices and technical growth.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the scalability, security, and operability of applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in DevOps or related IT infrastructure roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) and infrastructure automation tools.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts , security best practices, and monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
