Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Decentralized Applications (dApp) Developer based in Sandton, Gauteng. You will lead design, development, and deployment of sophisticated dApps, mentor a team, and drive secure, scalable solutions in the Web3 space.

The role requires deep Solidity expertise, strong web3 frontend/backend skills, and a track record of delivering production-ready blockchain applications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dApp development with a portfolio.
• Expertise in Solidity and smart contract development on Ethereum.
• Proficiency in frontend (React, Vue, or Angular) and backend (Node.js/Go).
• Strong understanding of Web3, blockchain protocols, and decentralized systems.
• Familiarity with DeFi standards and libraries such as ethers.js or web3.js.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of complex decentralized applications (dApps).
• Write and deploy secure and efficient smart contracts (Solidity).
• Develop user interfaces and integrate them with smart contracts using web3 technologies.
• Manage and mentor a team of dApp developers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
• Oversee the entire dApp development lifecycle, from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure the security, performance, and scalability of dApps.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define dApp features and roadmaps.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in blockchain, DeFi, and Web3 technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within dApp ecosystems.
