Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex commercial litigation cases from inception through to resolution, including arbitration and mediation.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies for a diverse client base.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, affidavits, and court applications.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and trials.
• Supervise and mentor junior litigators and support staff.
• Conduct client interviews, advise on legal options, and manage client expectations.
• Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide integrated legal solutions.
• Oversee discovery processes, including document review and witness preparation.
• Stay abreast of changes in relevant legislation and case law impacting commercial litigation.

Requirements

• An LLB degree or equivalent, with admission as an Attorney or Advocate.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in commercial litigation, with a strong emphasis on dispute resolution.
• Proven track record of successfully handling high-value and complex commercial disputes.
• Extensive experience in drafting legal documents, court appearances, and case management.
