Placements24 is seeking a Lead Architectural Designer for a top interior design and architectural firm to helm the design of engaging commercial spaces in Benoni, Gauteng. You will lead design teams, develop conceptual schemes, and drive technical execution from concept to construction documentation.

The role requires a strong portfolio in commercial interiors, 7+ years of experience, and expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in architectural or interior design with a focus on commercial projects.
• Proven experience in leading design teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Expertise in architectural design software (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp) and visualization tools (Lumion, V-Ray, Adobe Creative Suite).

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and design development of high-impact commercial spaces.
• Manage and mentor a team of architectural designers and support staff.
• Develop innovative design solutions aligned with client branding and operational needs.
• Oversee creation of detailed design documentation including drawings and renderings.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs are technically sound, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations.
• Present design concepts and proposals to clients with confidence.
• Stay abreast of trends in commercial design, materials, and workplace strategy.
• Contribute to business development through client meetings and proposals.
