The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Work, or related field, with 5+ years in community health and 2+ years in supervisory roles, and a strong grasp of local health

Qualifications

• 5+ years in community health
• 2+ years in supervisory/leadership role
• Experience in Eastern Cape, SA
• Ability to train, mentor and manage a team
• Knowledge of primary healthcare principles

Responsibilities

• Supervise CHWs in Port Elizabeth; mentor and support the team
• Provide ongoing training on health protocols and data collection
• Monitor CHW performance and conduct field visits
• Develop work schedules to ensure coverage
• Coordinate with clinic staff and community stakeholders
• Oversee data collection and timely submission by CHWs
• Ensure CHWs have necessary supplies and resources
• Address challenges and guide CHWs in complex cases
• Contribute to program planning, evaluation, and reporting
• Promote community engagement and relations with leaders
