Job summary

CampusKey Student Living is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team and lead kitchen operations at our coffee shop. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and helping create a consistent and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or cook in a café, restaurant, or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards (Food Safety Certification preferred).
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Creative, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.
• Passion for food, presentation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast, brunch, and light lunch menu items according to recipes and portion standards.
• Ensure all food is fresh, properly stored, and prepared in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and minimize food waste.
• Collaborate with the front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service.
• Suggest and help develop seasonal or special menu items.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance at all times.
• Train and support kitchen assistants or junior team members, if applicable.
