Placements24 is seeking a Lead Broadcast Graphics Designer in Upington to guide the creative output for live broadcasts, sporting events, and entertainment programs. You will conceptualize and oversee on-air graphics from lower thirds to complex motion packages, ensuring a compelling visual narrative under pressure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Lead/Senior Broadcast Designer in Arts & Entertainment.
• Strong portfolio of broadcast graphics and motion work.
• Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator; Cinema 4D preferred.
• Experience with Vizrt, ChyronHego, Ross Video.
• Understanding of broadcast workflows and color spaces.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in live broadcasts.
• Degree in Graphic Design or Motion Graphics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of broadcast graphics packages for live TV.
• Create motion graphics, lower thirds, bumpers, and title sequences.
• Collaborate with producers and directors to meet creative objectives.
• Manage a team of broadcast graphics designers.
• Oversee integration of graphics into live broadcasts using Vizrt or Chyron.
• Ensure brand consistency with established style guides.
• Stay current with trends in broadcast design, motion graphics, and VFX.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to graphics rendering.
