Placements24 is seeking a talented Broadcast Graphics Designer with motion graphics specialization to join our Randburg, Gauteng team. You will design on‑air graphics such as title sequences, lower thirds, stingers, and promos, ensuring brand consistency across broadcasts.

The role requires 4+ years in broadcast graphics, mastery of After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and familiarity with Cinema 4D or similar 3D software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in broadcast graphics design, with a strong focus on motion graphics.
• Proven experience creating high‑quality motion graphics for television or similar media.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Solid understanding of Cinema 4D or other 3D software for motion graphics is a significant advantage.
• Knowledge of broadcast workflows, codecs, and delivery standards.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative motion graphics work.
• Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, and visual composition.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce a wide range of broadcast graphics, including title sequences, bumpers, lower thirds, and transitions.
• Create motion graphics animations that align with brand guidelines and project requirements.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and editors to understand project needs and deliver visually compelling solutions.
• Develop innovative visual concepts for on‑air promotions and special events.
• Ensure all graphics are delivered in the correct formats and specifications for broadcast.
• Stay current with industry trends in broadcast design, motion graphics, and visual effects.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines in a live broadcast environment.
• Optimize motion graphics for broadcast playback and efficiency.
• Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input on new graphical approaches.
• Maintain and organize graphic assets and project files meticulously.
