Placements24 seeks a Senior Broadcast Graphics Designer in Sandton, Gauteng. This hybrid role focuses on creating graphics, animations and branding for broadcast programs, live events and digital platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in graphic design or motion graphics.
• 7+ years of experience in broadcast graphics design.
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator; familiarity with Cinema 4D or similar 3D software.
• Strong typography, color theory, composition and layout skills.
• Experience creating motion graphics for live TV and pre-recorded content.
• Excellent storytelling and visual communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce high-quality graphics, animations and motion packages for broadcast television.
• Develop on-air branding elements: logos, lower thirds, transitions, full-screen graphics.
• Collaborate with producers, directors and editors to translate concepts into visuals.
• Ensure adherence to network branding guidelines and consistent style.
• Manage multiple projects from concept to delivery under tight deadlines.
• Stay updated with latest trends in broadcast graphics and motion design.
• Optimize graphics for various platforms (broadcast and digital).
• Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers.
• Participate in brainstorming for innovative visual content.
