You will lead training, assessments, and education on techniques, nutrition, and recovery, while staying current with sports science and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Exercise Science, Sports Physiology, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of elite/pro level coaching experience.
• CSCS or NSCA certification.
• In-depth knowledge of biomechanics and strength and conditioning principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and motivational abilities.
• Experience with performance tracking technology and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee individualized and group athletic performance training programs.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge training programs for elite athletes, focusing on enhancing strength, speed, agility, and injury prevention. This is a pivotal role where you will not only coach athletes but also mentor junior coaches and contribute to the overall performance strategy of the organization, ensuring athletes are in peak condition for competition in the demanding Western Cape sports environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee individualized and group athletic performance training programs for professional athletes.
• Conduct athlete assessments to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for development.
• Educate athletes on proper training techniques, nutrition, and recovery strategies to optimize performance and minimize injury risk.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in sports science and performance training methodologies.
• Mentor and supervise a team of assistant coaches, providing guidance and professional development.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Exercise Science, Sports Physiology, Kinesiology, or a related field.
