Placements24 is seeking an enthusiastic Sports Performance Coach focused on Youth Development for an on-site role in Soweto. You will design age-appropriate training programs, deliver structured sessions, and provide feedback to athletes and parents to foster growth and enjoyment in sport.

The ideal candidate has coaching certification, experience with youth development, and a passion for inspiring young athletes.

Qualifications

This is a purely on-site role focused on direct athlete interaction and program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement structured training sessions tailored to different age groups and skill levels within youth sports.
• Coach athletes on fundamental skills, techniques, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment that promotes athlete engagement and enjoyment.
• Monitor individual athlete progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to athletes and parents.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support athlete development goals.
• Ensure all coaching activities align with the organization's philosophy, safety protocols, and developmental objectives.

Requirements

• Relevant coaching certification (e.g., Coaching Youth Sports, specific sport qualifications).
• Proven experience coaching youth athletes, with a focus on positive development.
• Strong knowledge of age-appropriate training methodologies and sports psychology for young people.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage group dynamics and maintain positive athlete motivation.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
