Placements24 is seeking a Lead Aromatherapist & Product Developer for a fully remote role. You will lead formulation of aromatherapy blends, source ingredients, and oversee quality control to drive innovative wellness products.

You will collaborate with marketing to align products with market trends, develop clear specifications, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage multiple projects from home with remote autonomy and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Professional certification in Aromatherapy from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in professional aromatherapy practice and product development.
• In-depth knowledge of essential oil chemistry, therapeutic properties, and contraindications.
• Proven experience in formulation development and sensory evaluation.
• Strong understanding of cosmetic science and natural ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and effective aromatherapy formulations for a range of products, including essential oil blends, diffusers, massage oils, and skincare.
• Research and select high-quality essential oils, carrier oils, and other natural ingredients, ensuring ethical sourcing and sustainability.
• Conduct rigorous testing and quality control on all formulations to ensure efficacy, safety, and consistency.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to understand market trends and consumer needs for new product development.
• Create detailed product specifications, including ingredient lists, usage instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Stay current with scientific research on aromatherapy and its therapeutic benefits.
• Oversee the production process of new aromatherapy products, working with manufacturing partners if applicable.
