About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Construction Architect to spearhead design and architectural oversight for their construction projects in Sandton . This leadership role demands a blend of creative design expertise, technical proficiency, and strong project management capabilities. You will guide the architectural vision from conceptualization through to project completion, ensuring designs are both aesthetically compelling and practically viable. This hybrid position allows for significant creative input and strategic planning, with a balance of collaborative on-site work and focused remote design development, contributing to the creation of impactful and sustainable built environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for construction projects, from conceptualization to final construction documents.
• Ensure all designs comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards .
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to define project requirements and design objectives.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, 3D models , and specifications.
• Conduct site visits to ensure design intent is accurately implemented during construction.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architectural staff and coordinate with external consultants.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Registered Professional Architect with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and project delivery, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and 3D modeling tools.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills for a hybrid work setting.
