Network Finance is seeking a Lead Accountant in Randburg to lead a 5-person team and own the full accounting and reporting function. You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage international entities, and oversee VAT and statutory compliance in a fast-paced professional services environment.

The role requires CA(SA) or SAICA/CIMA/SAIPA articles, 3+ years post-articles, and 1–2 years of people management experience. Strong technical accounting and cash-flow forecasting are essential.

? THE ROLE

As the Lead Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and developing a team of 5 finance professionals
• Taking ownership of the full accounting and reporting function
• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• Managing international entities and gaining exposure to a multinational environment
• Overseeing VAT, statutory compliance and tax-related requirements
• Managing and forecasting cash flow and working capital
• Reviewing trial balances, reconciliations and general ledger activities
• Driving accurate and timely month-end and year-end reporting
• Providing strong technical accounting input and guidance
• Working closely with senior management and key stakeholders
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Monitoring project/client profitability, billing and recoveries
• Ensuring finance remains aligned with the operational side of the consulting business
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and reporting
• Getting involved in ad-hoc projects and broader business initiatives
