Placements24 in Gauteng is seeking a reliable Last-Mile Delivery Specialist for our client in Tembisa. You will manage the final leg of the delivery process and interact directly with customers in the Tembisa area.

Responsibilities include planning routes, safe vehicle operation, loading/unloading, pre-trip inspections, accurate delivery records, and strong customer service. Training and potential for overtime and progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid South African driver’s license required (Code 10+ preferred).
• Experience as a delivery driver or in logistics.
• Familiar with the Tembisa road networks.
• Strong time management and organization.
• Customer service oriented and friendly.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the final leg of the delivery process, interacting directly with customers and managing delivery routes within the designated Tembisa area. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily delivery routes to ensure maximum efficiency and timely deliveries.
• Operate delivery vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring correct handling and securing of items.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety and identify maintenance needs.
• Provide excellent customer service during package drop-offs, handling inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including proof of delivery and any exceptions encountered.
• Report any delivery discrepancies, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Optimize routes using navigation tools and real-time traffic updates.
• Collaborate with dispatch and customer support teams to manage delivery schedules and customer communications.
• Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.

Requirements
