Responsibilities

  • Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments and lab equipment (ICP, titrators, etc.).
  • Prepare samples, reagents and standards for routine and specialised testing.
  • Validate, review and release quality orders in D365 with proper documentation.

Why This Role Matters (Purpose):

To provide metallurgical and analytical laboratory expertise by conducting testing, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, and ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of analytical data and quality systems. Support operational excellence, business development, and process optimisation through technical analysis, quality assurance, and effective management of laboratory and sampling programs.

What You Will Be Responsible For:
Analytical and Quality Assurance
  • Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot analytical instruments and laboratory equipment, including ICP, titrators, and other testing systems.
  • Prepare samples, reagents, standards, calibration solutions, and laboratory consumables required for routine and specialised testing.
  • Validating, reviewing, and releasing quality orders in D365, ensuring compliance with quality standards, accurate system documentation, timely issue resolution, and effective support for operation, sales and inventory processes.
Metallurgical and analytical test work
  • Analyse metallurgical and analytical data, interpret test results, and prepare comprehensive technical reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Manage sampling programs and ensure laboratory quality control procedures comply with applicable industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in plant audits, metallurgical surveys, process trials, and performance assessments to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct metallurgical and analytical test work to support business development, sales initiatives, and process optimisation.
  • Present technical findings, project outcomes, and process improvement recommendations to management, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of metallurgical activities, test work, operational performance, and project documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems by adhering to company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Business Development
  • Represent the organisation at technical conferences, workshops, and industry forums through presentations and knowledge-sharing activities.
