Job summary

PepsiCo in Durban is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to coordinate shift data collation for reporting, calibrate equipment, and perform day-to-day lab analysis to ensure accurate results.

You will conduct routine analytical tests, investigate out-of-spec results, implement corrective actions, and support audits and quality systems. Proficiency in data reporting, attention to detail, and the ability to work shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Matric and a Food Technology Diploma or equivalent.
• Computer literate.
• Written and oral communication.
• Integrity, attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data collation on shift for reporting process statistics.
• Investigate out of specification results and implement corrective actions.
• Ongoing troubleshooting to identify causes and improve quality and data accuracy.
• Feedback results to frontline with opportunities and corrective actions.
• Ensure all data reports are completed and communicated.
• Calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Control of stock requirements.
• Documentation auditing and data analysis.
• Coordinate quality and quality system improvement projects.
• Support audits and external Lab ASHA processes.
• Provide support during trials or new projects.
