Eastern Personnel Consultants / Oostelike Personeel Konsultante is seeking a reliable Vehicle Delivery Driver in Midrand to transport automotive parts to workshops and clients. The role requires a valid SA driver’s license, 2+ years of delivery experience, and basic computer literacy.

The position is permanent after a 3-month probation, with benefits after probation, including Provident Fund contributions and a prorated December bonus, plus 18 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

• Valid South African Driver’s License (Code B / EB or higher).
• Minimum of 2+ years of professional vehicle delivery driving experience.
• Matric (Grade 12) Certificate and basic computer literacy.
• Familiarity with deliveries, logistics, transportation, and route planning.
• Provide at least 2 professional references from previous supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver automotive parts and components to workshops and clients within designated areas using a company vehicle.
• Plan delivery routes effectively to ensure timely distribution while maintaining fuel efficiency and adherence to traffic regulations.
• Double-check and verify delivery items against invoices and delivery notes; obtain customer signoffs upon arrival.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the company vehicle and keep it clean and well-maintained.
• Assist the warehouse team with loading, securing cargo, and sorting delivery batches when not on deliveries.

What's on Offer?

• Salary: R8,920.00 Gross PM

• Status: Permanent following a successful 3-month probation period

• Benefits (Post-Probation): Provident Fund contributions (7.5% employee / 8% employer) + Prorated December Annual Bonus

• Leave: 18 days paid annual leave

• Hours: Mon–Fri 08:00–17:00 | Sat 08:00–13:00 (Overtime paid per MIBCO regulations)

Key Responsibilities

• Order Dispatch & Delivery: Safely transport and deliver automotive parts and components to workshops and clients within designated areas using a company vehicle.

• Route Planning & Efficiency: Plan delivery routes effectively to ensure timely distribution while maintaining fuel efficiency and strict adherence to traffic regulations.

• Verification & Documentation: Double-check and verify delivery items against invoices and delivery notes before departure and obtain proper customer signoffs upon arrival.

• Vehicle Maintenance & Care: Conduct daily pre-trip inspections of the company vehicle (oil, tyres, fluids) and keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.

• Logistics Support: Assist the warehouse team with loading, securing cargo, and sorting delivery batches when not out on deliveries.

Minimum Requirements & Legal Qualifications:

• Licencing: Valid South African Driver’s License (Code B / EB or higher) is strictly required.

• Essential Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of professional vehicle delivery driving experience.

• Education & Skills: Matric (Grade 12) Certificate, basic computer literacy, and the ability to navigate routes efficiently using maps or GPS.

• Logistics Familiarity: Familiarity with deliveries, logistics, transportation, and route planning.

• Track Record: High reliability, punctuality, strong road safety awareness, and the ability to provide at least 2 professional references from previous supervisors.

Strict Legal Requirements & Assessments (Non-Negotiable):

Background screening will be conducted. Candidates must have:

• South African-born Citizenship (with valid SA ID).

• Completely clean criminal background and driving record (under no circumstances will candidates with a record be considered).

• Ability to undergo a psychometric/personality assessment during the interview stage.
