Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a passionate Full-Time Kindergarten Teacher for a reputable preschool in George, Western Cape. You will develop a holistic curriculum, nurture early learning and social-emotional growth, and collaborate with parents to support each child’s journey.

You should bring a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and at least four years of kindergarten experience, with strong classroom management and creative lesson planning. Afrikaans is a plus in our diverse community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in a kindergarten or preschool setting.
• Proficiency in English; Afrikaans knowledge is a significant advantage.
• Must possess a valid police clearance certificate.
• Familiarity with assessment tools for early learners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive kindergarten curriculum aligned with early childhood education best practices.
• Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Plan and lead engaging lessons, activities, and play-based learning experiences.
• Assess children's developmental progress through observation, documentation, and formative assessments.
• Foster social-emotional growth, encouraging positive peer interactions and self-regulation.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and activities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a cohesive school community.
• Maintain accurate student records and attendance.
• Organize and supervise classroom routines, transitions, meals, and outdoor play.
