Job summary

Placements24 in Centurion is seeking an experienced Kindergarten Teacher to lead a classroom and foster a love of learning for young children in the foundational CAPS framework. The ideal candidate will design engaging lessons, assess progress, maintain a positive environment, and collaborate with parents.

A Bachelor's in Education and at least 3 years of kindergarten experience are required, with a commitment to high-quality early education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, specializing in Early Childhood or Foundation Phase.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching kindergarten or similar age group.
• In-depth knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and modern teaching methodologies.
• Excellent classroom management and ability to engage young learners.
• Proficiency in creating differentiated learning experiences for diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering literacy, numeracy, science, and creative arts for kindergarten-aged children.
• Assess student progress through observation, assessment tools, and portfolio reviews.
• Maintain a positive, stimulating, and safe classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, achievements, and any concerns.
• Organize and supervise educational field trips and classroom activities to enhance learning experiences.
