Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly organized Special Events Sanitation Coordinator for large-scale events in and around Kimberley, Northern Cape. This role ensures immaculate sanitation and waste management throughout planning, execution, and breakdown, coordinating on-site teams and liaising with venues and authorities.

You will develop sanitation plans, oversee waste disposal, monitor health and safety compliance, train staff, and produce post-event reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in event management, facilities management, or sanitation services.
• Experience developing sanitation plans for large-scale events.
• Strong knowledge of waste management, hygiene practices, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive sanitation and waste plans for all assigned events.
• Coordinate on-site cleaning and waste disposal crews during events.
• Ensure placement of waste bins, restrooms, and hand sanitizing stations.
• Oversee waste collection, disposal, and recycling; conduct site inspections.
• Liaise with venues, vendors, and authorities on sanitation requirements.
• Train staff on sanitation protocols and emergency procedures.
• Prepare post-event reports detailing performance and recommendations.
